Weight gain with Mirena IUD?

I have only had it once. I did gain about 6-7 lbs which is a lot for me, but its hard to say if it was Mirena-I had been breastfeeding my daughter who had extreme colic and literally could scream from 9p.m. to 5 a.m. some nights plus I was afraid to eat just about anything for fear it would make her gassy/colicky. So I barely ate or slept, until 2 weeks after Mirena was placed and the doctor put her on hypoallergenic formula. So it might sound like a stupid question but here are the details. I have horrible periods. My mom wants me to see a OBGYN. What i get is what she has now and she is currently going to get a hysterectomy for cystic fibrosis stuff. So who knows if it could run in the family. Her sister had the same and also had a hysterectomy. I'm 20 by the way. My periods have always been really bad, to the point where I had to call my mom to pick me up from school or now that i am older I have to call off work for 3 days. I cry myself to sleep at night from the horrible back cramps that i get. The first day of the cycle I get really sweaty, and faint like, i even go pale for a couple of hours. Then after i throw up or use the toilet, I stop with the fever chills and sweat and just get really bad cramps. I noticed the I get super bad cramps cause i get chunks of blood. Is that normal? To get chunks of blood during your period? My mom has to give me one of her 800 mg ibuprofen pills so that i won't have to scarf down 4 Tylenol pills. Now, I am joining the Navy, and i know its no walk in the park. How the heck do I deal with this type of period that i get while i am in the navy. i want to do aircrew and that deals with a lot of swimming. I can't just call up my superior and say, "Hey i'm having super bad cramps, I can't go to work or PT." Like hell it will be that easy to do. I've tried Birth control Pills to control the symptoms. I've tried several kinds, one that really worked was Yasmin but thats bad now. Whatever else I've taken doesn't really work now. I started my period three days late. When it came, it was just spots. THen it was brown and kinda black occasionaly, and thick looking. Can someone identify this Winchester .22 Long rifle?

I recently inherited a Winchester .22 Long rifle from my grandfather when he passed away. I have been trying to look for information on the gun online to see if there's anything I need to know before I shoot it. But I can't find the gun anywhere! I know it is Winchester because it is branded as such on the barrel. I also know it is .22 long because it is designated as such below the Winchester stamp. But I am unsure of the model. The gun is quite old (I don't know manufacture date but it's been around for decades) and I don't think it's made anymore. The gun has a loading mechanism where rounds are inserted into a tube that leads up to the chamber. A spring loaded pole must be unscrewed and puled out to expose a cartridge shaped hole on the bottom of the tube (which is below the barrel) to load rounds. The gun has a pump action that also cocks a fully functioning hammer (a possible substitute?) It's fairly easy to field strip as one tool-less screw needs to be undone to open the chamber. Can anyone enlighten me as to the model number of this gun as I'm looking forward to learning more about it and taking it out to shoot. If I get the chance I will upload photos to provide added clarity. Any help is much appreciated!

Trying for baby #2, Way excited but nervous and guilty as well. help?

I am currently TTC #2 with my husband. I was so excited when I got my implant out and we started trying. For the past 6 months my fiance and I have been using nursing as birth control, my period started up regularly about 4 months ago and we decided maybe having our kids close together wouldn't be so bad until we realized that taking care of a toddler AND an infant on our wedding day probably wouldn't be the greatest idea so I'm planning on starting an IUD or something after this menstrual period (I'm saying all this to avoid the birth control information that I know some people are bound to offer). I'm still nursing full-time (my baby is almost 7 months old, he only has 2 tbsp of solids 3 times a day and nurses 6-8 times throughout the day, although he sleeps 8-10 hours at night so I don't think breastfeeding is having much of an effect on my fertility). I really am not an expert on these things and I just wanna know if anyone else has been in a similar situation? Can morning sickness start this early in a potential pregnancy? In my first pregnancy I had it only twice, in the 2nd and 3rd months, and it only happened when I let myself get too hungry...

Tampon stuck inside of me for 2 weeks straight! hospital or not?

Ive already asked this question, but some ppl were telling me to go, some told me not to: ok, about 2 weeks ago, i got off of my period, i put a tampon in just incase of more bleeding. A few hours later i put a second one in, forgetting i had one in already. (first time ive done that.) i changed a few times, each time, not knowing i had a second one in there. He said he felt it way in there and pulled it out since my fingers were too short. there was no blood on it. i wanted to go to the hospital, but he told me not to over react.and yes i know i can get TSS. It's an American German Shepherd!!... (right) People obviously don't know that that's their name in some countries. I have two who shed a lot. The shorter fur sheds more than longcoats because the longcoats don't have an undercoat. It definitely can be managed by brushing the dog everyday. Buy a furminator! They can be pricy but are absolutely worth it. They shed mostly during season changes, especially spring, but can be managed. You will still see fur around the house. It is worth it in the end because they are such great dogs!! Good luck!!

My brother had just recently bought this gun and he is pretty satisfied with. It's basically a low powered sniper rifle. I recommend some heavy BBs for improved accuracy. .25 BBs would do the job. Springers are not desriable for airsoft, you should a gas blow back or electric blow back or CO2 pistol.

I have just stained my deck. Can I apply a water sealer over top?

I have stained my deck before. After 2 years, it had a lot of green mold growing from a very wet spring. I cleaned it thoroughly with soap and water, scrubbing and then a spray on deck cleaner. I had planned just to use water seal, but the cleaning removed some of the stain. I applied the same stain with sealer that I used before. I have a clear water sealer that I would like to put over top to protect the deck. It takes a lot of sun in areas and the spring can be very wet. Can I put a water sealer over a stain? HELP! tampon stuck for 2 weeks!!?

ok, this is kinda graphic, so please dont be immature about it.. Ok, About 2 weeks ago, i put in a tampon, forgetting i had one in (first time ive ever done that so please no smart remarks) but the thing is, i didnt realize i did this. Bad stomach cramps at night, i have mirena not sure if its connected to pains?

i had my mirena put in months ago, i was on the pill for 5 years mainly for period cramps, i havent had many cramps since the placement of the IUD, little ones here and there when id typically get my period, the past few nights ive been getting woken up by excruciating stomach cramps and i cant get comfortable and curl up in a ball, they last for generally 20 minutes, but i get very hot and dizzy and short of breath and nauseous, almost the same feeling i had when the IUD was inserted. after i go back to sleep i wake up in the morning with tightness in my stomach, hips and lower back that last almost all day. ive also been very tired even if i sleep well into the day and i dont have the best appetite (my appetite is never consistent anyways) i have no pain during sex and i can still feel my string. what could this be ? im not sure if all this is connected to the IUD so i want to look at it with and without the IUD.

Mirena IUD causing vaginal itching/burning?

I have had my Mirena IUD for about seven months now and I have noticed a few things. First, I started having yeast (or what I thought was yeast) infections more frequently. I've had at least 3 since I've gotten my Mirena. Then, about a month ago, I went to the doctor for pelvic pain, which she then concluded that I had some kind of infection. She gave me antibiotics, I took the full course, and then the itching came back. I figured I just had a yeast infection from the use of the strong antibiotics, so the doc prescribed Diflucam. I took one that day and one a week later. I had my period then, which I haven't had in several months. I also noticed I had a patch on my tongue (geographic tongue) which I tend to get sometimes during ovulation. Once the period ended, I was back to the same burning/itching feeling. Has anyone experienced anything similar on Mirena? I plan on going to the doctor if it persists, but I wonder if anyone else has had anything similar happen. They say there is no increased risk of vaginal infections, but I really don't think that is the case!

Going to attend college pregnant do I have to avoid any classes?

I have been planning on going back to school since january. I have filed for financial aid and am just trying to decide on the school. I found out in May that I am pregnant and due in January. My horse has allergies?

My 13 year old quarter horse has allergies. His hair is peeling off his face and he has rubbed his tail. He is wormed regularly and just had his blood tested and the vet is thinking allergies. The vet gave him a steroidal injection due to his immediate symptoms. The blood test came back neg for parasites. It has been almost a month a it's not really getting any better. Copper IUD Feedback Please?

I don't have one personally but my sister does and she suffers a lot with her periods since having one. She is unable to have hormonal contraception so opted for the copper coil. Her periods are very heavy, she gets headaches and backaches and sometimes ends up in bed just exhausted. Ever since I had an abortion back in Dec, 2009. I've been having a lot of problems with my body. Mirena IUD inserted yesterday...?

I have read many, many "horror" stories online about people who have, during sex, "poked" their partners with the "strings", which actually might as well be fishing wire. .. To make a long story short, and blunt for the matter, my husband is coming home from deployment soon.. like.. REALLY soon, and we want to have sex when he comes home. Plain and simple. That is implanon not an IUD. An IUD is in your uterus but yes that could make you bleed for 5 weeks.

Should I go to the doctors for stomach pain?

I've been having stomach pain since last night it kept me up all night. It's a really sharp pain and it hurts more when I sit down or go to the bathroom. I know it's not a bladder infection or vaginal infection as I've had both (from pregnancy). I have an IUD and for the past couple of months my period has been lasting about 3 weeks heavier than normal with about 28 days in between still, if that means anything. Also, I just got off my period about a week ago so I don't think it's cramps. It's pretty painful I would say 7 out of 10. I don't want to go to the doctors if it's something simple. Ok first off for reference, I have a two and a half year old daughter. A year and a month after I had her I got an iud put in (march 2010). And after painful cramping, heavy periods, uncontrollable mood swings, and 30 extra lbs later I decided the iud was not for me. So I got it removed this past mid May 2011. After it was removed I had heavy bleeding for about 4 days and then it stopped. I felt like a totally different person after it was removed. I had a period that lasted about five days at the most starting on June 9th. I have been sexually active since then, and have not been very protective. Please no negative comments, because pregnancy is not going to be an issue for us. But for the past week my breasts have been very swollen and painfully tender. And as I have said I've been pregnant before and know it is too soon to tell, but I really don't think it is, because I never had this problem before. Im wondering if it's just a side affect from getting the iud removed? I don't think it could be growth, I hope it's not anyways. I'm already a size 36D and I'm 21. I have had the copper IUD in for almost a year now with no problems. I have always gotten my period every month on the exact day that Im due. HOWEVER my period was due 8 days ago and still nothing. Question about student loans?

I think what you're experiencing is normal to a point. I've had my IUD since '08 and I will go months with no problems, then all of a sudden I will see the same thing you're going through: cramps, weird periods, moody, all that. I think you've been lucky you had such a long time without any problems! I think part of it has to do with the IUD moving. I'm smaller and sometimes have problems with it sitting slightly out of place. It usually fixes itself after a month or two. Have your strings been getting longer or shorter (if you can still feel them)? If it continues for more than a few months or gets a lot worse, you may want to bring up to your gynecologist. I had the paraguard iud in for a little over 2 years. Well after I got it taken out I wasnt having periods on my own. I went to the doc and they said I had pcos I dont think real bad though. Well anyways they put me on medroxyprogesterone to have periods. Well I was supposed to take it for 15 days in may but I only took 3 or 4 like every other day cause I am horrible at taking medication well anyways on the 21st I had a period on my own I think thats what the nurse told me anyways. The period lasted 7 whole days and was extremely heavy I think because of the fact I hadn't had a period for like 4 or 5 months. Anyways I have no idea how long my cycle is so I just went by the 28 day cycle. I had sex a few different times between the 1st and the 5th of june. So Here Is My Question? I figured since I started on my own then maybe I ovulated but I was wondering is there anyway to be for sure if your ovulating. I dont get that slimy stretchy discharge that everyone talks about? And when I did the ovulation test it kept saying positive several days in a row so I didnt know what to believe. Does anyone remember this old children's book about a dragon?

I have a vague memory of this one picture book from when I was a kid but we don't have it anymore and I can't find it in Google. It centered around a little boy who went to fight a dragon because everyone in his village was afraid of it. But when the dragon comes out of the cave, it turns out he is not a real dragon at all but one made out of springs, gears, and clockwork bits. I can't remember any more details of the plot except I think one of the reasons everyone was afraid of it was the loud clanging sound it made when it walked. The illustrations were all in reds, oranges, browns, and blacks I think... but it is all so hazy! Does this ring a bell to anyone else? Based on my memory of it, our copy was probably published between 1950 - 1965. It would be great of someone else remembers this because it is driving me nuts!

Is this my period, or is it from IUD removal?

I had mine removed on March 31st and the month of April was super confusing on whether or not I was having removal bleeding, period or what..is was very sporatic for that whole month, lots of spotting. But hang in there because after that month, I stopped and had a normal period in May and June lasting only 4-5 days and becoming very normal. I did not have a period at all either on the IUD and so I had no idea what "normal" would be for me but only took a month and a half to become regular. I suggest you get some Clearblue Digital Ovulation tests because these helped me tremendously to figure out my ovulation day because i was not familiar with my cycles. They give you a unmistakeable smiley face when it is positive meaning ovulation will occur in 12-48 hours and so sex on the day of the positive and the day after is maximizing your chances of conception! After using these for two months, I no longer need them because i was tracking my ovulation compared to my cycle days and now I know when to expect ovulation. Good luck to you!!

Very tender nipples but not breasts?

I have always heard about tender breasts being a sign of pregnancy but never just tender nipples. I have currently an iud but my boyfriend and I don't use condoms ever. because of my iud i dont get my period at all anymore so im not really able to know if i missed a period. but the past month and a half i have been getting nauseous in the the mornings right when I wake up and it lasts for like an hour to 2 hours then goes away. but for the past week my nipples have been extremely tender to touch. and it is just the nipples not the whole breast. is that normal to be a sign of pregnancy or is it just the breasts.

I got my paragard iud inserted about a month ago and I can still feel the strings, however, I cannot tell if they are the same length as when I first got it inserted. The string gets all tangled together and they curl up around my cervix. When I try to straighten them I can feel it pull and Im too afraid I will dislodge my iud. I have been gaining weight. I went from 89lbs to 108lbs in the past 3 months. I felt pregnant a couple days back in march but I got my period.It was about a week late. What to do? what to DO!?

I'm pretty sure I got knocked up by a married man. My iud failed and at the clinic I was told after removing it there would be a chance I would miscarry. But here I sit two months later with a married man's kid growing in me. I was supposed to start June 15 but I have been up to 2 weeks late before. But this time is different. Dealing with my dad when hes in an extra foul mood?

He doesn't hit just yells a lot. My dad is a person who likes to get worked about anything and everything. I feel bad for not helping him, but I avoid as much as possible cause I never do it to his standards and I am out down and yelled at when I don't do it exactly as he wants. Off antidepressants but why am i still sweating?

I had a mental break down in November and they had to put my on alot of antidepressants. I kept getting sad so every couple weeks i would get my meds change every time it was like the strongest meds i could get. after like 3 months when it became spring and got warmer i started to sweat more then it became summer and it got hotter. At this time i been on the meds about 5 months and i sweat like crazy. i sweat like 2 cups of water a day its that bad it makes me dizzy its so bad. I stop taking my meds cold turkey for like a month and i was still sweating like crazy. the tinniest amount of exertion makes me sweat. I dont know why i been off them for so long. I admit i been through like 8 to like 12 different meds over the 5 months at the highest doses possible but will the side affects eventually ware off or am i stuck like this forever?
