Felt like a balloon popped? on my lower left side?

Walking. Carrying my daughter on my left hip. Have the iud. On my lower left side ritht above my pelvic bone it felt like a softball size balloon popped in my stomach. Never felt it before. It didnt hurt it was just really really wierd. What is it?
