Is it ok to get an IUD after pregnancy?

I'm due the end of july and im looking for which birth control would be best after i have my daughter, im not good with taking pills everyday i forget and i don't want to get the shot id rather just having something that will last like an IUD for up to 5 yrs then i can get it removed when i wish to have another child.. is this safe to get? or will it mess breastfeeding? i have tried to google and nothing that i am looking for comes up.
