Are my periods normal?

Before I got the IUD i use to have really heavy periods lasting about a week long. I had the iud removed after using it for five years and have noticed that I have only about 2 some what heavy days and my period is only lasting 4-5 days...is this okay? I am trying to conceive and had no luck for the last month or two (first month I don't think I calculated my ovulation time correctly) so does this sound normal?? I am 25 yrs. old with five year old twins.
