Paragard iud removal?

I was wondering if anyone has gotten the paragard iud removed because of severe cramping and heavy bleeding. I have had the paragard iud for about a year now and I can't stand the cramping and my I have heavy bleeding!! If i get it removed, Is it painful after the procedure of getting it removed? Please help as I want to get it removed !!
