IUD spotting with some pain in left side. Help!!?

I had the copper IUD put on me on August 2010 and everything was going good till November. I missed my period and started to spotting the last two weeks of December. I had an appointment on january 2011 and pregnancy test came out neg. But the ultrasound detected that the IUD strains went inside but it was still in shape and the sporting should go away. Now, June, I'm still spotting and I've been having pain for the last two months. I've been cramping in my left side which seems to be coming from my ovary also stomach and back pain.
