How long after having mirena iud removed do you bleed?

i had mirena removed and now i've been bleeding ever since i got it taken out.i had it in 2 and a half months and didn't like it. i was bleeding a lot and had headaches. My doctor said to just take motrin i went through a bottle of over the counter motrin and a bottle of perscription motrin in the 2 and half months. I am now bleeding a lot and having a lot of clots and cramps. My doctor says next month my period will be normal. but i am not sure if all this bleeding and clotting and cramping is normal? i've had it out almost a week. my periods have never been over 4 days. should i go to the doctor or is all normal?
